    -The house is cold, dark and quiet, the flick of the lightswitch nearly echoing in the empty Old Gotham townhouse. Savant doesn’t need to case the house for anyone lying in wait: he has an app for that hooked up to hidden cameras in the walls. He hears the slam of the car door as Creote collects their luggage and steps into the quiet house, dragging a finger along the hallway table and grimacing at the dust. Other than that, and the serious need to turn on the gas before they both freeze to death, however, nothing seems to have changed all that extraordinarily much since they’ve been away.-

    -He feels Creote behind him, and moves to let him in, taking one of the suitcases and smiling at his friend.- You know, it’s rather nice to be back after a month. We should get away this more often.

    -Creote raises an eyebrow.- Of course, my love. I myself can hardly wait for the next time a Moroccan assembly councillor learns of our location and we have to go to ground for the better part of five weeks. It was almost like camping. But with less wildlife and more ammunition.
